Ground Broken For New Saw Mill!

IMG_1428

Just recently we broke ground for the building of our new saw mill here at Drew Farms.  I’ve always wanted a place to make my own boards from the trees that I grow locally on my farms.   The mill is going to be comprised of a single ban saw and will give me the opportunity to furnish custom beams and boards from hardwoods that we harvest off  the property.  The harvesting of trees is vital to land conservation and the need for forest regeneration.  Now we will have the opportunity to also process our timbers  as we need them for custom  projects, as well as properly cutting and trimming the reclaimed wood we use as well.
